Ina Irean Hunsaker, of Kearny, Arizona, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 78 years old.

Ina Irean Hunsaker was born on June 10, 1947, in Kimberly, Nevada, to Guardner and Alverta Heaps. Raised among the farms, ranches, and mining towns of Nevada, Utah, and Arizona, she carried the lessons of those early years throughout her life. She loved animals, treasured family, and believed in the value of hard work and service to others. Some of her happiest memories were of ranch life—riding horses, caring for animals, attending a one-room schoolhouse, and growing up surrounded by extended family who taught her the importance of faith, resilience, and unconditional love.

As a young woman, Irean graduated from Ray High School and later attended beauty school. She went on to work for the State of Arizona, assisting individuals and families in need. Her kindness, patience, and ability to listen made her especially well-suited to the work, and she took pride in helping others navigate difficult circumstances with dignity and respect.

Irean was married to Donald J. Bolin, with whom she shared three sons: Donald, Damon, and Clinton. She was later married to Richard “Dick” Hunsaker, who preceded her in death. Through her marriage to Dick, she also welcomed his children into her family and treasured the relationships they shared.

More than any title she ever held, Irean considered being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother her greatest blessing. Family was the center of her world, and she found joy in life’s simple moments—gathering around the dinner table, sharing stories, preparing meals, and staying connected to the people she loved. She remained especially devoted to her sisters and treasured the lifelong bond they shared, which kept her rooted in Kearny throughout her life. Known for her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit, Irean was a remarkable listener who made others feel heard and valued. Her home was always welcoming, and no one ever left hungry or without a reminder of how much they were loved.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Irean’s faith guided her throughout her life. She served faithfully in many callings and found great joy in serving others. She possessed a quiet but unwavering testimony of Jesus Christ, the power of prayer, and the eternal nature of families. Her faith sustained her through life’s joys and challenges and was a source of comfort and strength to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hunsaker; her parents, Guardner and Alverta Heaps; and her sister, Judy Gambee.

She is survived by her sons, Donald Bolin, Damon Bolin, and Clinton Bolin; stepchildren, Jeffrey Hunsaker, Jana Hunsaker-Viney, and Christopher Hunsaker; her sisters, Sherry Poarch and Rhonda Trujillo; her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on June 27, 2026 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kearny, Arizona with reception to follow. A private interment will be held the following week at Mountain View Cemetery.

Irean often ended conversations or phone calls with the words, “I love you, love you, love you.” Those words remain a perfect reflection of the love she shared so freely throughout her life and the love her family will carry with them always.
