Irene Emily Senn

Passed Away on May 21, 2017


After a long illness, we are sad to announce the passing of Irene Emily Senn on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Grace Manor Assisted Living, where she was well cared for.

Irene was born in Dixon, Illinois on January 13, 1925 to August and Anna John.  In March of 1948 she married Merritt A. Senn in Dixon, where they had three children.  In the summer of 1959, Irene and family moved to Mesa, Arizona.  She worked for Mesa Public Schools until retirement.  Then they did a lot of traveling.  When at home, Irene enjoyed music, cooking, baking, and family gatherings. We are all going to miss her smile.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Merritt, and is survived by her three children; Jeff (Peggy) Senn of Texas, Margo (Gerald) Weaver of Utah, and Tim Senn of Mesa, along with a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  On May 26, 2017 a private ceremony will be performed at Mountain View Cemetery, where Irene will finally be laid to rest next to her husband.
