J. Harold Crowley, Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Lawson, Missouri (formerly of Estes Park, CO), passed away on January 22, 2013 following a brief illness. Harold was born on June 7, 1920 in Lawson, Missouri, the son of the late W.C. Crowley and Effie (Mellon) Crowley. He was married to Peggy J. (Hackleman) of Torrington, Wyoming on September 7, 1947. He served, for four years in the US Navy aboard the Battleship USS South Dakota. He was also a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge. He and his wife owned and operated several businesses in Estes Park, Colorado, during their marriage and retired to Mesa in 1982. Harold was preceded in death by four sisters, Hazel D. Trout, Leta P. McCullough, both of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Erma N. Crowley, of Estes Park, Colorado, and E. Blanche Vermillion of Mesa, Arizona and one brother Joe W. Crowley of Mesa, Arizona.He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Peggy Crowley, of the home, one daughter, Joyce E. Crowley of Longmont, Colorado, one son R. Bruce Crowley and his wife Cathy (Barnes) of Estes Park, Colorado, a sister D. Jean Collins of Round Rock, Texas, and several nieces and nephews. A private family viewing will be followed by entombment at Mountain View Cemetery, Mesa, Arizona.
