James Howard Mahaffey, 86, passed away on November 26, 2022 in Gilbert, Arizona. He was born in Morton, Mississippi, on February 26, 1936, to William and Edna Mahaffey.
He married his sweetheart, Clara, on October 4, 1958. They had five children, 7 grandkids, and 13 great-grandkids.
Some knew him by “Bull” and some knew him by “Howard”. He was proud of his 23 years of service in the Air Force. He loved God, never asked for much, and he will be greatly missed.
James is preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth Mahaffey, and daughter, Tara Haws. He is survived by his loving wife, of 64 years, Clara Mahaffey; son, Howard Mahaffey; daughters, Martha Williams and Kay (Mario) Lopez; son-in-law, Marcor Haws; and loved by many grandkids and great grandkids.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022, at 1:00 at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E. Main St. Mesa, Arizona, 85207.
