James (Joe) George Daubert, Sr.

July 21, 1935 – December 9, 2023


Joe Daubert, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on December 9, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Joe was born on July 21, 1935 in Saginaw, to Phillip and Mary (Clauss) Daubert. He worked at General Motors/Grey Iron Foundry.
He married Nila Harmony on August 30, 1958 and they raised five children in Saginaw. They were happily married for over 53 years before she predeceased him in 2012. Now they are together again in our Father’s heavenly kingdom.
Joe was also predeceased in death by his parents, his step-father Albert Belill; his brothers Phillip, Robert and Adam Daubert; his half-brother Ed Belill; his sister Annie Martin; granddaughter Marissa Daubert; son-in-law Donald Baranowski and many other close relatives.
He was a charter member of the Resurrection Lutheran Church. He is survived by his children James (Michelle) Daubert, Dana (Carlyn Hartshorn) Daubert, Kristi Baranowski, Anthony (Diana) Daubert and Kara (Evan) Richman. He is also survived by grandchildren Don Baranowski, Alexandra Daubert and James Daubert; sisters Betty Thompson and Dorothy McCollum; half-brother Roy Belill and many close family and friends.
Arrangements have been made by Mountain View Mortuary in Mesa, Arizona. Interment of Nila and Joe’s ashes together will be at a later date at Roselawn Cemetary in Saginaw, Michigan. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2110 Brockway, Saginaw, Michigan 48602 or to a charity of their choice.
