Jim White was born to John Paul White and Beulah Mary White in Portland, Oregon on August 25, 1929, and passed away in Beaumont, California March 12, 2021. He was the oldest of four children: James White, Al White, Jack White, and Laura Fletcher. He also had two half-sisters Lois Jean White Elliott and Ruth Estella White Emerson.

James married Edna Arlene Chambers in September 1950 in the Tabernacle church located in Portland, Oregon. They later divorced. Jim and Arlene had five children: Randy White; Darrell White (Linda); Charles White (Diana); Darlene Larson (Steve); and Charlene White-Grey (Larry).

James and Dorothy Jean Bell (Dollie) were married in Portland Oregon and resided in Portland and Gresham, Oregon for many years, eventually retired in Mesa, Arizona.

Before starting his own business, All Cars Lease and Sales, Jim was employed in his father’s company, Portland Sign, which would later be named Portland Sign and Neon. He was also employed with Interstate Batteries, and Marv Tonkin’ Ford.

Jim was actively involved with The Gateway Elks Lodge # 2411 in Portland, Oregon. He held the offices of Exalted Ruler, Past Exalted Ruler, Grand Exalted Ruler and District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler.

His hobbies included cars, golfing, camping in his recreational vehicle, socializing and singing in the quartet at his Church (Camelback SDA Church). Jim believed in supporting the Seventh-day Adventist Church and donated monies monthly to Maranatha (to build SDA Churches overseas), Amazing Facts, Kenneth Cox Ministries, Gospel Outreach, Loma Linda Broadcasting, and Three Angels Broadcasting.

Jim and Dollie shared many happy years together before she passed away in 2010 and was laid to rest at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery. Jim will now be joining his “Bride” of many years as he is laid to rest with her at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery.
