Janet Lee Stephens was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, on June 8, 1941. She had two younger brothers, Richard (deceased- wife Marsha) and Steven (Laurel). While in high school, she met the love of her life, Ted Stephens. They were blessed to share 64 years of marriage filled with love, faith, and family. Janet and Ted made their home primarily in Oregon and Washington, later moving to Arizona in September 2022, to be closer to family. She was a  devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Janet and Ted raised two sons: Brent (Christi) and Troy (Chris).

She was lovingly called “Grandma” by six grandchildren: Joanna (Justin), Jennifer (Brian), Eric (Bethany), Taylor (Melissa), Tanner, and Lucas. Her joy multiplied with nine great-grandchildren: Connor, Logan, Kendall, Keegan, Hunter, Fischer, Karson, Madelyn, and Sage.

Family was always Janet’s greatest joy. She rarely missed a game, concert, or activity where her children and grandchildren were involved. She loved cheering them on and celebrating their accomplishments.

Beyond family, Janet enjoyed traveling, camping in her RV, and reading. She retired from AT&T and State Farm. She spent many years as a Mary Kay Consultant, touching the lives of many women with her encouragement, community and friendship.

She faithfully supported Ted in his Southern Gospel Quartets, serving behind the scenes by booking concerts, traveling with the group, and managing the financials. Together, their ministry was a blessing to many.

Janet’s life was a reflection of her deep love for Jesus and her family. Her legacy lives on in the faith, strength, and love carried forward by all who knew her.
