In Loving Memory: Javier Banderas-Lara
Javier Banderas-Lara departed this life peacefully to his heavenly home on April 9, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family and adored dog, Gunnar. He has left behind a legacy of love, wisdom, laughter, and kindness. Born on August 3, 1933, he graced this world with his presence for 90 years.
Javier was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, whose warmth and tender-heartedness touched the lives of all who had the honor of knowing him. He had an innate ability to light up any room with his infectious smile and unwavering positivity.
He will be remembered for his unfaltering dedication to his family, his generosity, his sense of humor, passion for riding horses, his love for his dog, for music and playing his accordion. His dedication to making this world a better place to live in was exemplified through his acts of kindness, his willingness to always help others or simply lending an empathetic ear. Javier touched countless lives and left a memorable mark on the hearts of many.
Though his time with us has come to an end, Javier’s love, kindness, and legacy of compassion will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know him. While his physical presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May he rest in peace, knowing he made the world a brighter place simply by being in it.
The Banderas and Morningstar family would like to extend their gratitude to Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona, for their assistance and constant support during this difficult time. The family is also grateful to Hospice of the Valley for the care given to Javier during his final days.
Services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E. Main Street in Mesa, AZ 85207 on Friday, April 26th, 2024. Viewing will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 am, followed by a Catholic ceremony at 10:30 am at All Saints Catholic Church, 1534 N. Recker Road, Mesa, Az 85205. The Rite of Committal is to follow at 12:00 pm at Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery.
We will be gathering to share some of our most favorite memories, our stories, to laugh, to cry and remember a wonderful person who is greatly missed. This luncheon venue will be held after the funeral services at 4036 W. Puget Ave. Phoenix, Az 85051. Please feel free to come celebrate his life and share any stories you have of Javier.

    Mi mamá sentido pésame para todos ustedes familia Banderas por el momento de la partida de Don Javier se que en estos momentos no se encuentran las palabras para tan grande partida de quien este mundo fue su padre, fue un placer conocerte a tan hermosa persona,lo recordaré siempre con esa hermosa sonrisa y tan fina persona, que el camino de regreso a nuestro hogar este lleno de luz y que lo reviva con los brazos abiertos nuestro padre eterno ,así sea
