Forever In the Hearts They Leave Behind

Jerry Lee Nelson

September 20, 1984 – September 3, 2021

Our Dearest Beloved Son Jerry Lee Nelson, 36 years of age, born on September 20, 1984 in Simi Valley, California, has passed on to greener pastures on September 3, 2021. Jerry was raised in California and Arizona. He is survived by: Son of Lisa Nelson and John Rini. Brother to Tiffany Drury (Nelson) and Ashley Nelson. Grandson to Pamela Nelson. Grandson to Sharon Van Arsdale and Manuel Preciado. Jerry was blessed with so many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and cousins that I just cannot list them all. It would probably take up the whole page. You know who you are and you have always been very special to Jerry.

Jerry is preceeded by: His biological father: Larry Frank Preciado, My dad his Grandpa Eldon Nelson, Grandpa Phillip Rini and all the great grandmas and grandpas.

Jerry did receive his High School Diploma in the State of Arizona. He worked in Sales. He enjoyed working and talking to people. He eventually ended up doing construction: painting, plumbing, carpentry and so forth. He would always send me pictures of himself working, so cute.

Our sweet Son, Jerry, was such a bright light and an aura of such a beautiful soul. He had a Heart of Gold. Ask anyone, usually the first thing out of their mouth was what a big Heart Jerry has. He gave the best HUGS in the world. We all are going to miss those HUGS so much! He may have struggled in this precious life however he never gave up ever! Jerry struggled with pains of others even though he himself struggled. He loved his family and friends with such a true heart and soul. He was so full of energy and I mean countless energy, just like his momma…lol. I remember a time when he was just about 2 years old, he balanced on the railing of his crib, we ended up dropping it down so he couldn’t do that anymore. Well, he found another way, he took apart the side of the crib, squeezed through it apparently. I went walking by the hallway and thought to myself “Did I just see Jerry peeking out the door”. Needless to say I went to check on him, and lo and behold he was back in the crib. I looked at the crib and sure enough he had taken it apart. Silly boy, so we had to put him in a bed at a very young age. Funny thing is, He did better with a regular bed. That was our silly boy Jerry! He will be missed so much, his warm kisses and hugs, his precious smile, his energy, his love, his care for his momma (me) was so so unforgettable! He truly loved family and friends with all his heart and soul. His heart was so warm that even a lizard walked from the bushes, up Jerry’s leg and arm to his shoulder where this little lizard stayed for most of the day until a neighbor asked him to let it go sadly. Jerry felt so special when that little lizard climbed all over him. As they say animals can sense a Beautiful Heart!

Jerry started golfing with my dad, his grandpa Nelson, at the age of 4. I remember my dad coming home so proud of Jerry saying “My grandson has got a great swing!” Jerry started almost everything at around 4, for some reason. He started skateboarding as well, bike riding and all this was just so natural to Jerry. We always said we never knew anyone with such coordination like Jerry, literally from birth. I can get comfort from knowing that everything Jerry did, even with his struggles,  he did with the attitude to always keep on going no matter what. He did that! He loved music even as of late starting to write his own music. He was a master at computers and technology. He loved the ocean and just loved everything GOD created. What a precious soul, Jerry you will be missed but never forgotten!

The service will be held on September 20, 2021 starting at 1:00 at Mountain View Funeral and Cemetery located at 7900 East Main Street in Mesa Arizona.

Jerry Lee Nelson, you are in GOD’s hands now. We all love you! We will always be proud to be your mother, dad, sisters, family and friends. Rest in peace our sweet sweet son! You will never be forgotten!
