Forever In the Hearts They Leave Behind

Joan Carol McCallister

August 19, 1937 – March 7, 2024

Joan McCallister, departed this world on March 7th, 2024 at the age of 86 to reunite with her husband, Ernest McCallister, and her eldest son, Mark McCallister. Joan passed away peacefully at home surrounded by four generations of her loving family—a testament to the profound love and care that her family had for her and that she had for her family.

Joan leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and laughter that will live on in the hearts of those she held dear. She is survived by her daughter, Pam, and her son, Kevin, along with three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Each of them will remember her tremendous love, delicious food, unlimited candy and Pepsi, and her quick wit and sassy sense of humor that everyone in town knew her for.

Joan McCallister will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on with her family. We’ll miss you.

Joan said she wanted to be remembered this way “That I loved my family with all my heart unconditionally and wouldn’t have traded any of you for anything in the world!”
