Joan Roberta Quill, 90, formerly of Mesa, AZ passed away on October 5, 2021 in Los Angeles, CA.  She was born on July 9, 1931 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Robert P. and Albina H. (Vodicka) Quill.

She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy, a private high school in Prairie du Chien, WI. She left nursing school to pursue a career with a stock brokerage firm in Chicago before marrying and raising her family. She was very active as a volunteer at her children’s elementary and high schools before returning to work. She retired from Arizona State University, having worked in the Student Financial Aid Office for more than a decade.

Her parents Robert and Albina, brother John T. Quill, and son Richard N. Boya III, predeceased Joan. She is survived by three sons, John D. Boya of Indian Lake, NY, Thomas R. (Albert) Quill of Los Angeles, CA, and Brian D. (Ruby) Boya of Sneads Ferry, NC, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 10:00am.
