John C. “Ted” Stoetzer, 96 of Sunland Village passed away December 22, 2009 in Mesa, AZ. Ted was a master book binder and also taught at Yale University. Ted, who was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, resided in Sunland Village for 32 years. He and his wife Elsie were married for 72 years. He is survived by his wife Elsie Stoetzer, daughter Linda Hartnett, daughter-in law Diane Stoetzer, grandchildren: Diana Lorditch and Joe, Laura (Pastor Robert) Sainz, Theodore (Susan) Stoetzer, Edward (Shelley) Hartnett II, Theodore (Lisa) Hartnett, and great-grandchildren: Timothy Lorditch, Victoria and Robert John Sainz, Katriona and Brenden Stoetzer, Jacqueline and Edward III Hartnett, and Taylor and Abigail Hartnett. He was preceded in death by his son Theodore J. Stoetzer and son-in-law Edward J. Hartnett I. There will be a visitation between 12-2:00 pm followed by the funeral services at 2:00 pm Monday December 28, 2009 at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E. Main St. Mesa, AZ.
