John D. Fahnestock Obituary

John D. Fahnestock was born on May 12, 1923 in Coffeyville, Kansas. He passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 in Flagstaff, Arizona. John was raised in Westville, Oklahoma where he attended elementary and high school. He joined the Army in January of 1943 and was later discharged on November 26, 1945. John was married to his loving wife Esther for 33 years.  Mr. Fahnestock is survived by his two daughters, Charlotte Rutherford and Karen Cox, his step-daughters, Deanna Bunck and Bonita Blakeman, 10 grandchildren and step-grandchildren, 23 great and step great-grandchildren, and 4 great- great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel, 7900 E. Main Street. Mesa, Arizona 85207 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m.

    I was so saddened to hear of my friend’s passing!! After taking care of his wife for many months, I kept tabs on John. He was blessing to our lives and will be forever missed. John and Esther loved each other dearly, he never got over her loss. They are in Heaven resting together now!! You my friend will be forever missed as will be Esther!
