His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived.

He was a member of Saint George Catholic Church, the Sunland Veterans Club, and the Sunland Springs Men’s Golf Club. He had a passion for old cars and NASCAR.
Joe is survived by his wife, Rose Marie (McCoy) Peters; one brother, Robert (Karen) Peters; one daughter, Elaine Carpenter (Kevin Pastrick); one son, Joseph D. Peters II (Samantha Stinnett); five grandchildren: Ava Peters, Joseph D.
