Joseph Lee Dickson, 84, was born Oct 13, 1926 in Layton, Utah and called home on Oct 8, 2011 from Mesa, Arizona. Joe is the son of Rufus and Catherine Lee Dickson of Layton, Utah. Joe served in the Navy in WWII and the Army during the Korean War, graduated from Utah State Ag College in Logan, Utah. Joe is survived by his wife of 60 years, Johnnie, sons David (Kathi) of Gilbert, Kent (Cindy) of Mesa, Robert (Sherry) of Phoenix and daughters Susan Calvaresi (Steve) of Maricopa, Joelyn Frawley (Mike) of Tempe, and Kristal Caldwell (Brian) of El Paso, brother Flint Dickson (Ruth) of Salt Lake City, sister Barbara Jones (Reid) of Salt City, 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Joe was a great example of kindness and generosity to all he knew. He had an unwavering testimony of Jesus Christ and enjoyed serving in whatever capacity he called to, we will miss him here but know that we will meet again as an eternal family. Memorial services will be held Thursday October 13 at the LDS Chapel located at 1500 E 6th Ave, Mesa, AZ at 10:00 am, the interment will follow at 12:00 pm at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E Main St, Mesa.
