Joyce Arlene Hildebrandt, born Nov 19, 1944. Peacefully passed away in the morning hours of December 26, 2021 at the age of 77.
Born in Hammond, Indiana. At the age of 2, the family relocated to Mesa, Arizona. Joyce went to Mesa schools and was a graduate of Mesa High School in 1963.
She married Robert Hildebrandt on New Year’s Eve in 1976. This New Year’s Eve they will celebrate together in heaven married 45 years. Between the 2 of them they are survived by their 7 children, 33 grandchildren, and 55 great-grandchildren.
Joyce did real estate most of her adult life. She became a broker and opened her own real estate office in Queen Creek, Arizona.
She had many hobbies, one was vacationing and traveling. She planned many family trips, including fun day trips to the lake. She loved traveling to other countries and learning about their cultures. One of her favorite places was South Africa.
She loved collecting rocks, big and small. Whenever we moved we hauled the rocks with us. She had a green thumb and knew everything about trees and plants. We spent many Saturdays at Tree Top buying plants and whatever else she wanted to plant that week.
She will be dearly missed.
Services will be held on Monday, Jan. 3 at 10 a.m., with a one hour viewing prior, at the Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa
