Forever In the Hearts They Leave Behind

Julian I. Antonio Jr.

November 3, 1943 – March 23, 2021

Julian I. Antonio Jr. entered this world on November 3, 1943 in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte Philippines.  The oldest and only son of Adela and Julian B. Antonio Sr.  He was raised in Manila alongside nine rambunctious sisters, who all loved him dearly.  He graduated from Mampua Institute of Technology and later taught high school before immigrating to the US in 1969.  His first job in the US was with Dennison for 2 years before starting his 37year career with Xerox Corporation.

He lived in San Francisco where he met and married his wife of 49 years, Adelina Palugod. Together they raised a family in Union City, California before retiring to Mesa, Arizona.  Julian was an avid gardener who enjoyed spending hours tending to his plants.  He had many fruit and citrus trees and was always happy to share his bounty with family and friends. He was a voracious reader of historical books, watched Fox News and sports religiously, and he could never pass on watching old classic westerns. His camera was his constant companion. He loved being behind the camera more than anything. Spending time with his family was extremely important to him, so much so that he would avoid taking overtime calls from Xerox.
