We regretfully announce the passing of Kathy Brewka on February 17th in Mesa, Arizona. She was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully.
Kathy was born in Queens, New York and spent her early years growing up in Woodside Queens. She later moved out to Long Island in Massapequa Park. Anyone who knew her could see she was a beautiful smart young woman. She was loved by many and grew up surrounded by family members. Aunts, Uncles and Cousins who lived across the street as well.
She graduated from Alfred G. Berner High School in 1971. Had a love for horseback riding and singing in chorus. After having her first child, Jenny, in New York, Kathy yearned for a change and headed West. She chose Arizona to start a new beginning with her young family. It was there that she built her family, with the birth of her son Billy.

She met the love of her life in Arizona and was married to Michal Brewka in 1989. Keith was born to round out the family. Kathy and Michal have had an incredible love story for over 40 years. Over these years his love for her children expanded to her most cherished grandchildren, Audrey, Emmalee, Connor, Brookelyn, Zayden and Ryder. All of them meant everything to her. She had a very long and successful career in the Pest Control industry and most recently over 10 years in medical services, dedicating her life to helping others who needed it most. Her warmth and caring love for those patients and her co-workers was praised and loved by all and she will be forever missed by them.
She loved the Hawaiian Culture due to her lineage to Hawaii. She mastered Hula dancing and participated in many beautiful events. Her spirit was most happy when she was either in Hawaii or doing Hula. She was and always will be our beautiful Island Hula girl. “Aloha Nui Loa”

Kathy was predeceased by her mother Doris (Riches) Marchesano, her father Alfred Bernard, and brother Steven Bernard. She is survived by her loving husband Michal, daughter Jenny Watson, sons Keith Brewka and partner Alex, Billy Baker and wife Mandie, and grandchildren; Audrey, Connor and Brookelyn Baker, Emmalee Watson, Zayden and Ryder Brewka and her siblings; Jean Pavlicko, Rich Bernard, Alfred Bernard, and Nancy Barbour.
