Forever In the Hearts They Leave Behind

Keith Burton Hall

June 7, 1941 – May 9, 2022

Keith Burton Hall, 80, of Mesa, Arizona passed away peacefully at his home on May 9, 2022.  Keith was born in Belize on June 7, 1941.  He grew up in Belize, went to college and earned an engineering degree, and then became a police constable.  During his time with the police force, Hurricane Hattie hit Belize in 1961 and he contributed to the search and rescue of many people affected by the storm.  The experience impacted his life forever.  Keith immigrated to the United States in the 60’s, becoming a naturalized US citizen in the 80’s.

Keith spent the majority of his career in the engineering field working for Caterpillar Tractor Company, Bechtel, and Oberg Industries in Illinois, Arizona and Pennsylvania from which he retired in 2006.

Keith was known for his caring heart and his impeccable work ethic. He was someone his family, friends, and co-workers knew they could count on.  He always had a smile and a pleasant greeting for everyone.

His two great loves were his wife of 35 years, Julia, and the sea he had grown up with in Belize.  He was a devoted and loving husband. He and Julia challenged society’s ideals when they married in 1974, and they never wavered in their courage.  Their love was inspiring.  Throughout their life together, they often dreamed about buying a sailboat and sailing off together into the sunset.

Keith is predeceased by his wife, Julia, his mother, Clarrie Orendorff, and his sister, Glennis Whigham.  He is survived by his brother, Al Orendorff (Murrieal) of Chicago, IL, his daughter, Tavisha Grant (Jim) of Mesa, AZ, his daughter, Denise Elizabeth Hall of Orange County, CA, his daughter, Gretchen Grant of Mesa, AZ, his son, Keith B. Hall Jr. (Leah) of Westminster, CA, his son-in-law, Marc Amino of Phoenix, AZ, his niece, Kim Brantley of Temecula, CA, his nephew, Alex Orendorff of Milwaukee, WI and his great-nephew, Robbie Brantley of Anaheim, CA.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicholas Amino of Phoenix, AZ, his granddaughter, Void Noir of Denver, CO, his grandson, David Palagano of Mesa, AZ, his granddaughter, Ariah Hall and his grandson, Judah Hall of Westminster, CA.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Please contact the family for details.
