Kenneth Harold Krueger Obituary
Kenneth Harold Krueger, 85, passed away at home on May 8, 2015. Ken was born in Lone Tree Iowa, grew up near Cosgrove, Iowa, and lived most of his adult life in the Des Moines area. In 1969, he and his wife, Ellen started K & E Distributing, Inc. He was dedicated to the business, even after relocating to Arizona in 2007. He enjoyed travel, gardening, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Darlene Krueger, daughters Beverly Meritt, Linda Krueger (James DuBrava), daughter-in-law Pamela Smith Krueger, stepdaughter Katherine Mitchell, son Randall Krueger, stepson Patrick Mitchell (Tammy), grandchildren Jordan Krueger (Alison), Jeremy Krueger, Tanner Mitchell, Ashley Vachal (Tony), Angela Schmidt (Richard), Brandy Mitchell, and great grandchildren Kamden Krueger, Calvin Waggoner, RW Schmidt, Amelia Bergman, Alayna Vachal, Norah Schmidt, Annastyn Vachal. Ken is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Ellen Loan Krueger, his parents, John and Lenore Krueger, sister, Katherine Killen, brother, Leonard “Bud” Krueger, sons Michael and Gregory Krueger, son-in-law Dale Meritt, and grandson Cole Krueger. Visitation will be held at Iles Funeral Home Westover Chapel, 6337 Hickman Road, Des Moines, Iowa, 4-6 PM Sunday, May 17th. The funeral service will be held Monday, May 18th at 11:00 AM followed by a luncheon at St. Paul Presbyterian Church, 6426 Merle Hay Rd. Johnston, Iowa. Burial will be at Booneville Cemetery. A memorial service will held at a later date in Arizona. Memorial contributions can be made to Muhammed Ali Parkinson Movement Disorder Center, Phoenix, Arizona.
