Kenneth J. Hommema, 90 of Mesa Arizona passed away peacefully at home September 20, 2025
He was born on October 7th, 1935, in Illinois to the late William and Helen (Stegenga)Hommema. He had one brother Don who has proceeded him in death.
Ken was self employed as a typesetter for many years, while raising his family in the suburbs of Chicago. His life was surrounded by faith, family and fun. He provided his children with a wonderful childhood. There were many camping trips with several families almost every weekend. Trips to see the country. They camped and traveled their entire lives until eventually him and his lovely wife settled in Mesa to live out their golden years where they enjoyed many group activities with friends. He was a golfer and enjoyed playing card and dice games up until his passing.
He is survived by his wonderful wife of 67 years Kay (Klein) Hommema and 4 children. Judy (Fred) Williams, Bill Hommema, Scott (Barb) Hommema and Karen Hommema. Eight grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Per his request there will be no service or memorial. Keep your good memories of him close with you as you travel in your life.
