Leonard “Art” Nelson of Mesa, AZ Passed away Sunday October 10, 2021 in Mesa, AZ. He was 86. Art was born November 17, 1934 in Seattle, WA to Donald & June (Akin) Nelson. He was a graduate of Roosevelt H.S. in Seattle, WA. Art is survived his wife of 63 years Gloria, son Darryl Nelson of Houston, TX, daughter Michelle Nelson of Des Moines, WA, grandchildren Alex & Nicolette of TX. Nicolette has recently married. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Dona and son Eric who passed at age 2. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Gilbert Presbyterian Church and will be placed at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ.
