Lois C Trout passed away on November 13th 2023.  She was born in Prairie City Illinois, and was an only child. Lois is survived by her two sons Jim and David (Wife Marty), Four grandchildren and Thirteen great grandchildren. She had a daughter named Patty that passed away shortly after her first birthday in 1956. She graduated in 1950 as an RN, and worked her entire career as one. Her last role prior to retiring was at the Arizona State Corrections facility as a Psych Nurse helping the mentally challenged. She started out her married life full of adventure by eloping in a snow storm on a Harley with her new husband Dave in 1950. They shortly thereafter, started a family and had three kids in Illinois before moving to Mesa AZ in 1961.  In 1967 Dave passed away unexpectedly. Her adventurous spirit lived on and she moved herself and the boys out to Chandler Heights where they lived a pioneer lifestyle initially, without power and water for a few months until power was built to their property. This was the fresh start they all needed after their loss of their father and husband, even though it required a huge sacrifice from her. After she retired, she enjoyed spending lots of time with her grandchildren, and socializing with new friends. Throughout her entire 95 years she was able to maintain an independent lifestyle and took pride in her abilities to do things on her own. She was always a generous person, giving beyond herself, and loved helping anyone in need. She had no regrets and was filled with peace on her last days, knowing she had fulfilled Gods purpose for her life and knowing she leaves the legacy of her family.

A graveside service will be held on November 27th at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery at 3:00 pm
