Louis Deadmond, 89, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, at his home at the foothills of the Supersition Mountains , after feeding the birds. Louis was born October 31, 1927 in Odin, Illinois at home; to Riley and Naomi (Sullens) Deadmond. He served in the Merchant Marines, and was an Army veteran. Louis owned a hardware store in Salem, Illinois. He built a home in Apache Junction in 1978 and opened Best Hardware in 1979. Louis was an active member of the Crossroads Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Sue (Soper) Deadmond, and a brother Leon Deadmond. Louis leaves behind two sons and their spouses Vince and Debi (Allen) Deadmond, Olen and Kelli (Lewellen) Deadmond; five grand children, and five great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will take place at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery on Tuesday, June 6 at 9:00 am. Louis’ Service will follow, starting at 10:00 am.
