Lucille Brinton passed away on August 13, 2022 at 98 years and 6 months in Chandler, AZ to enter into her heavenly father’s hands. Lucille was a lifelong Lutheran and raised her children the same. Lucille was a wonderful, loving mother and will be remembered by all her loved ones for her kindness, love, and her smile she shared with everyone.
Lucille was born to Harry and Carrie Halvorson on February 13, 1924 in Radcliffe, IA.
She graduated from Waldorf University in Forest City, Iowa and taught in a country school in Ellsworth Iowa for two years.
She married Clare D. Brinton of Ellsworth Iowa on August 12, 1943. They lived in various homes in Hamilton County and settling in Jewell, Iowa where they raised four children; Dennis, Cheryl, Greg and Susan.
Lucille had a wide variety of jobs while raising a family, nursing home aide, Stanley Brush Co and Tupperware sales person. She worked at Bourn Industries and Iowa State University both in Ames Iowa.
In 1965 Clare took a job with Boeing in Wichita. In July 1966 Lucille, son Greg and daughter Susan followed. In 1970 Clare accepted a job in Mesa, AZ. Lucille and Susan followed a few moths later.
Lucille worked at Mesa Lutheran Hospital as a Medicare Specialist till 1983. Upon her retirement she and Clare retired to Apache Junction, AZ.
Lucille was preceded in death by Parents Harry and Carrie Halvorson, Brother Archie Halvorson, Sons Dennis and Greg (AZ) and daughter Cheryl (TX) and grandson Jeremy (OH). She is survived by sister Harriet Erickson (IA), daughter Susan (WA), Daughter-in-law Beth (AZ) Grand Children and Great Grand Children & Great Great Grand Children
The Family will have a graveside service in November 2022.
