Forever In the Hearts They Leave Behind

Lucille Mae Russell (Woody)

January 14, 1937 – December 8, 2020

Lucille Mae Russell (Woody), “Lou”, was born January 14, 1937 in Kimball, Nebraska. Lou was raised in Kimball until she married in April of 1958 and moved to several different places as an Air Force wife to Charles E. Russell and raising her two children, Marvin and Charlene.

Lou was college educated and worked as a Banking Officer. She loved to travel with her children and grandchildren. She had many adventures with her family and friends traveling across the United States, visiting amazing places like Yellowstone National Park, New York, and the Hershey Factory in Pennsylvania. Lou even travelled to London and Ireland. When her great grandchildren came along she was so grateful for the time she spent with them after school. She loved flowers and taking pictures. If she had one photo album, she had fifty. She loved capturing those beautiful memories and looked back on them often, reminiscing the laughter and good times she spent with family and friends.

Lucille passed away peacefully on December 8, 2020 and was welcomed in heaven by her parents: James and Glady; siblings: Mary (Melvin), Howard (Lois), William, Donald, Ralph, Elmer (Babe), and Robert (Doris); nephews: Melvin (Sharon) and James T; and great grandson: Quentin.

She lives on in the hearts of her children: Marvin and Charlene; grandchildren: Carlos (Jessie) and Kyra (Johnny); and great grandchildren Carlos Jr and Sophia.

Lucille was laid to rest at Mountain View Memorial Gardens on Friday, December 11, 2020.
