Margaret (Peggy) Ann Berg, 66, passed away on January 17,2026 in Mesa, AZ. after an 8 year strong-willed battle with metastatic breast cancer. Born January 8, 1960 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Marge and Hank Berg, Peggy is survived by her loving sisters Rosemary and Susan J Berg and her nephew Sean M. Bussart. Peggy graduated from Shorewood High School in Wisconsin and from AZTech College, Mesa Az, in Graphic Design. Peggy worked as a waitress, design assistant and jeweler receptionist, always giving a warm smile and greeting and telling a story or two.
Peggy lived life on her own terms, and was known for her independent spirit. She loved all dogs and was an exceptional pet sitter. Quick-witted, Peggy enjoyed trading barbs with her nephew Sean. Although living most of her life in a desert climate, Peggy craved being near water, especially Atwater Beach in Shorewood. She loved parties, and was usually the last one to leave. Her favorite character was Mary Poppins and she could find almost anything for you in her collection of treasures. On a 4 Day trip to Paris she took 4000 photos and spent a whole day viewing the Mona Lisa at the Louvre. Peggy embraced the use of cash and anything not digital. She would not be happy that this information about her will be posted online. While fighting her own survival battle, she lovingly assisted friends facing a similar fate. She said her faith gave her the courage to continue. Peggy’s family thanks her friends and medical team for their care and support.
Memory donations may be sent to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014 or online at hov.org.

I’m so very sorry and sad of Peggy’s passing.
Until we meet in the next life. Thanks for being a forever friend. Love always.
Peggy was a wonderful and beautiful human being. What a great photo of her! I will miss her dearly and I hope she locates Charlie in the next world. Love to Peggy and her family and may she rest in peace
Peggy was an incredible person. I loved her comments when she’d admire my treasures at our dinner parties with the ladies. She added so much joy to our group no matter what she was fighting!
Beautiful tribute to a beautiful person.
She lives on through her loving family..
And the friends her life has touched..
She will be missed.
Peggy was a brave patient who with the support of her “angel” sisters was able to live life fully longer than any survivor I have known. Rest in peace.
Peggy was truly a bright spark in my mother’s life. She came to visit Jackie Huang near the end of mom’s life (end-stage cancer) with Peggy’s familiar enthusiasm. Condolences to family.
Oh, I am so sorry about your loss. After our parents died, we did not stay in touch they way we should have. I still think of you girls often and I am so sorry that I did not get to know her better.
