Margarita De Leon, Margie, was born on Feb. 24, 1955, in Hondo, TX, the daughter of Pedro Mares and Maria Ignacia Mares. She loved gardening and cooking but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Pedro Mares and Maria Ignacia Mares, sister Seferina Fernandez, brothers in-law Silvino Gonzales and Francisco Cruz.

She is survived by her Loving Husband Roger Soden; Son Richard De Leon, Daughter Jo Ann Huggins and husband James, son Jose De Leon Jr. and wife Marisol; brothers, Jose Mares and wife Alicia, Pedro Mares and wife Maricela, Roberto Mares and wife Beatrice, Andres Mares and wife Linda; sisters, Simona Gonzales, Beatrice Gonzales, San Juanita Mares, Jesusita Cruz, Guadalupe Ytuarte and husband Jose; Grandchildren, Aja Pena, Sable De Leon, Jacob Huggins, Warren Huggins, Jesse Huggins, Noah Huggins, Andrew De Leon, Kenneth De Leon, Dominic De Leon, Zander De Leon and 9 Great-grandchildren.

As Margie would always say ” this too shall pass.”
Shine your light our Beautiful Angel. Never “goodbye” but rather “see you later.”
