Marilyn J. Burr was born in Oshkosh, WI on June 10, 1927 to Walter and Margaret Faust.  She married James G. Burr and together raised a family of five children that now includes 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.  She was an exceptional mother who cared greatly about the well-being of her children, their families and the many others who were fortunate to have known her.

Marilyn worked in the medical field for many years, running doctor and dental offices, assisting with medical procedures, as a dental hygienist and as a teacher for Bryman Dental School.  Her students continued to send her letters and cards expressing their appreciation for how she helped them excel in their careers.  She also volunteered at the AZ State Prison in Florence where she taught women inmates about dental hygiene.

In spare time Marilyn was an avid gardener, collector of antiques and reader of nonfiction.
