Marjorie Brown, known as Sami, was born April 12, 1935. She passed away at the age of 81 on April 17, 2016. Sami was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to read, sew and entertain. In the past she belonged to a number of clubs and organizations. The past few years she had been plagued with several illness but managed to keep her sense of humor and love of life. Sami and Dale were married July 11, 1998 in Langdon, North Dakota. She is survived by her husband, Dale; step-son, Darrin Brown of Cavalier, ND; step- daughter, Jodee husband,  Bryce Berg of Sammamish WA; sons, Stephen and wife, Cindy Carnes of Glenwood, Iowa, Clayton Michel Ballinger of Loveland CO and daughter- in- law, Lee Ann of Loveland, CO, grandchildren, Karen, husband Bryan Compass, Issac Carnes, Jamie, husband Devan Tenoris, Rayon Carnes, Levi, wife Courte Ballinger, Nicholas Ballinger; step- granddaughter, Baylee Berg and other nieces and nephews; great-grandchildren, Oliva and Noah Compass, Ashton and Blake Ballinger. Sami was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles, a son, Danial Lewis Carnes of Loveland, CO; parents, Charles and Daisy Monroe of Tabor, Iowa; brothers, Vernon, Carl and Gary Monroe of Hamburg, Iowa; sisters, Betty Wallace of Tabor Iowa, Ethel Rogers, husband, Donald of Scottsdale, Arizona. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 East Main Street in Mesa from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am. Inurnment will be in Loveland, Colorado. Mountain View Funeral Home is assisting the family.
