Marlene Marie Muller, age 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Mesa, Arizona on August 9, 2019. She was born March 13, 1928 in Watseka, Illinois to Henry and Dulcinie (Martell) Mercier. In 1945 she was married in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Melvin Muller. Melvin and Marlene lived in Watseka, Illinois where they lived and raised their family for many years.

Marlene retired from JC Penny after 35 years. Marlene had a way of making everyone feel super special and nobody left her home feeling hungry. She never knew a stranger as her life was a living example of compassion, love and kindness.

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; her parents, Henry and Dulcinie; sisters, Ione, Vernnette, and Anita; brothers, Wilburn and Ambrose.

Marlene is survived by her son, Daniel Muller and 4 grandchildren.

Please join us in celebrating her life Saturday afternoon, September 7, 2019 at 12:00 pm at Fountain of the Sun, 540 S. 80th St, Mesa, AZ 85208 with a reception will follow at Marlene’s home in Mesa.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11:00 am at St Edmunds Catholic Church, 219 E Locust St, Watseka, IL 60970.
