Mesa – Martha B. Yochum, age 96 passed away on May 21, 2020 at Emerald Groves Central, Assisted Living. She was born September 28, 1923 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of the late Arthur and Alta McElroy. Martha was a homemaker, seamstress, and a loving mother. She also, was a secretary for the Rochester Book Repository. In retirement (1979) she moved to Mesa, Arizona from Rochester, Minnesota. She loved working with her neighbors and making friends in Apache Wells for 36 years. Preceding her in death; husband, Robert B. Yochum, whom she married, May 28, 1945, daughter Patricia and son Paul. Survivors include Bob, Wabasha, MN and Mike, Albert Lea, MN; numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be conducted at a later date due to the Covid-19 virus. Interment will be at Mountain View Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 7900 E Main St. Mesa, AZ 85207. The family request donations, or memorials be given to Emerald Groves Central 2759 N Val Vista Dr. Mesa, AZ 85213. Rest in Peace Martha.
