Mary “Sue” Christine Dollard, 85, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on September 30, 2026.
She was born in Piggott, Arkansas, on October 26, 1940, to Claude and Evelyn (Knight) Church. Mary grew up in a large, loving family in Tempe, Arizona, where she graduated from Tempe High School. She was previously married to Paul Moyer, with whom she raised her four children in Logansport, Indiana. After working at Switches/Federal Mogul, she returned home to Mesa, Arizona, where she worked at TRW until her full retirement.
Mary was an amazing mother who loved nothing more than being surrounded by her family. She was exceptionally kind, generous, and always looked for ways to help others. As an avid sports fan, she could frequently be found cheering on her beloved Arizona Diamondbacks and Phoenix Suns. She was also a wonderful cook, and her family cherished gathering around her dinner table.
Her greatest joy was spoiling her grandchildren, taking deep pride in teaching them her favorite life skills. Through her, they learned to golf, appreciate baseball, and master crafts like sewing and crocheting.
Mary is survived by:
Her children: Terri (Pat) Moyer-Uecke, Jim (Emily) Moyer, and Alan (Deedee) Moyer.
Her grandchildren: Michael Moyer, Sarah Ebert, Patrick Uecke, Abbie Moyer, Anna Moyer, and Allye Moyer.
Her siblings: James Church, Bob Church, Bud Church, Norma Celaya, and Linda Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Diane Moyer; and her siblings, Verdie Loggins, Ernie Church, Carolyn Stokes, and Donald Church.
Mary will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 12pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 11, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the home of her daughter, Terri, located at 7915 E Caballero St., Mesa, AZ 85207.
