Merle Hall Burden passed away April 27, 2011 in Globe, AZ. He was 76. He was born December 28, 1934 in Alliance, OH. Mr. Burden was an electrical contractor and longtime Arizona resident. Merle is survived by his wife Eva Lou Burden, a daughter Merlene Watson, a son Rodney Burden, grandchildren Cassie, Tiya, Tasha, Dustie, Dakota, Rodney & Kayla, great grandchildren Caiden & Roper. He will be greatly missed. Private family services were held. Arrangements were handled by Mountain View Funeral Home 7900 E. Main St. Mesa, AZ 85207 (480) 832-2850.

    Dear Eva Lou,

    I’m so sorry to hear this news. I was so very glad to see you both in December and will cherish the last memories of Merle. You both have been so wonderful to me, and I appreciate your continued friendship. Merle always had a smile for me, even through my sad times. One of my favorite quotes, “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” (Leo Buscaglia)
