Michael “Mike” P. Miele passed away at his home in Apache Junction, AZ on May 9, 2022 after battling lung cancer. He was 85 years old. Born and raised in Lawrence MA, to Giuseppe and MariaRosa (Minicucci) Miele, He was the youngest of 13 children.

He attended Lawrence High where he met the love of his life, Patricia A. (Sweet) Miele (predeceased April 2015).  They were married 59 years, yet his love and devotion did not end at deaths parting. His presence there inspired many.

Mike retired from AT&T (formerly Western Electric/Bell labs) after nearly 40 years. He then followed their dream of RV’ing across the country until they permanently settled in Arizona as Patricia’s health declined.

In addition to camping and traveling, he enjoyed sports, competitive bowling, gardening, fishing, playing pool and especially, the nightly community happy hour with his neighbors in Apache Junction.

He was a member of St. George’s Parish in Mesa and donated to many charities.
