Mildred “Dixie” Schenke of Tempe passed away April 14, 2010. She was born in Cairo, IL on July 9, 1922. Mrs. Schenke was a secretary at the Caterpillar Corp. in IL for many years. Following retirement she and her husband moved to AZ and lived in Leisure World. Her last residence was Friendship Village of Tempe. Mrs. Schenke was preceded in death by her husband Elmer P. Schenke, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her sister Vera Crane and her brother Leonard Anglin. Visitation will be Monday April 19 from 5-8:00 pm and services will be held Tuesday April 20 at 9:00 am at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 2929 S 48th St., Tempe, AZ 85282.
