Olan Williams, a resident of Apache Junction, Arizona, departed this life August 26, 2017 at the age of 92.  He was born February 9, 1925 in Marietta, Mississippi, the son of James Alfred and Iva Berta Yager Williams.  He married the late Cora Lee (Smith/Caldwell) in 1950.

Mr. Williams worked and lived on a plantation in Birdeye, Arkansas for many years until he relocated his family in 1971 to Apache Junction, Arizona.  He also owned and operated an auction house in Cherry Valley, Arkansas.  He loved the auction business – buying and selling/wheeling and dealing – long after retirement.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, James and Iva Williams; wife, Coral Lee; seven brothers Lee Roy, Rawden, Rubel, Elton, Lloyd, Clovis, and Nolan Williams; two sisters Eunice Womack and Lotus Pace; daughter, Undine (Caldwell) Denisco; and grandson, Richie Caldwell.

Mr. Williams is survived by five sons Ricky (Marty) Caldwell of Huntsville, Texas, Eddie (Wanda) Caldwell of Beebee, Arkansas, James “JR” (Cathy) Williams of Gilbert, Arizona, Dennis (Patti) Williams of Mesa, Arizona, and Dale (Tammi) Williams of Wynne, Arkansas; daughter, Linda (Caldwell) (Bill) Walters of Beebee, Arkansas; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10:00 am followed by funeral services at 11:00 am at Mountain View Funeral Home located  7900 E. Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85207.

    So sorry for your lost. I knew Mr. Olan and loved to hear him do an auction. I met him when I was about 12 or 13. He was a sweet, kind, and humorous man.
