Patricia Ann De Walt Crew

September 25, 1925 – January 21, 2022

Patricia Ann De Walt Crew was born on September, 25th 1925 in Boise Idaho. Patricia married the love of her life Harold Crew in 1948 and was married until his passing in 1982. Patricia was raised in Horseshoe Bend Idaho until the 1950’s in which they moved to Oregon and then finally settled Mesa Arizona in 1968. She Graduated Montour High School in Montair Idaho May 1944.

Her first job was a grocery store/ Post office clerk and she had been recruited for the FBI in her younger years, choosing not to follow that path, she chose to be a beloved wife and mother. She held that position until returning to the workforce in 1980 as a nutritional cook at Chula Vista care center in Mesa Arizona until she retired at the age of 78 years young.

Music, laughing and being with her family were her favorite things. She always thought of others first and worked very hard to support her family and set a lasting example of kindness and compassion to others. Patricia was very proud of her home, and she spent a lot of time making it a beautiful and welcoming place for all her family and friends to enjoy. She loved the rain; she loved the heat which made Arizona a perfect home for her.  She had a fondness for Candy especially Idaho Spuds and she always had some to share with you. She cooked some amazing meals not only for her family but for the residents of Chula Vista and was very knowledgeable of nutrition and was able to keep her body and mind healthy for 96 years just by her diet and knowledge of the human body. We will miss reminiscing with her about childhood stories of the past as she was able to recall them just like they were yesterday. Patricia was a beautiful wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, friend and our rock. She will be dearly missed.

Love You Sharon. Mom always enjoyed talking to you and reminiscing about the past. She missed Sweet Aunt Dorothy so much. They must have had a agreement to each having a turn naming the youngest child. Every time I talked to Aunt Dorothy she would say “ You know I named you Ricky. Do you like your name?” And I would always reply “Yes ma’am. I use it every day!” Then we would laugh together…Lol Your Mom had the Most Wonderful Laugh! Beautiful Lady . Now they’re All Home .🙏❤️😢

  5. Tyler Crew & Family says:

You brought the most loving and funny memories to my childhood and I cherish having been grandma’s sweet boy. I’ll miss your contagious laugh the most of all, your sense of humor could always have us doubled over in tears. I’m sad because I know this world will never have the privilege of another beautiful soul and tough as nails woman like you, but I take comfort in knowing that I got the gift of spending so many wonderful years with you, I think it meant the world to us both. Thank you for holding on so I could tell you I love you one last time, so I could see you hold your great grandson, and so I could share one more second of hearing that laugh. I’ll forever be grandma’s blonde haired little boy in the warm sun by the orange tree in her backyard – I love you so much grandma. May Heaven appreciate the angel it just received as much as those who remember her everyday.
