Patricia Jean Gutsch

December 2, 1942 – June 2, 2021


Patricia Jean Gutsch was born in West Allis, Wisconsin on December 2, 1942 to Leroy and Agnes Ingraham. Patricia graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1965. After college, she spent two years in Kenosha, Wisconsin teaching from 1965-1967. In 1967, Patricia married the love of her life, Dr. Paul Gutsch. She taught in the Cincinnati, Ohio school district until 1970 when she went to live in Bonn and travel around Europe for a year. When she returned to the U.S. she became a substitute teacher for the Waukesha school district in Wisconsin until her retirement in 2005. After retiring, she and her husband moved to Gilbert, Arizona.

Patricia loved to travel, paint, and take nature photography. To her family she will be always be known as a loving mother and a delightful wife, forever remembered for her bright and cheerful personality and for her love of interacting and helping people, often offering to pray with those she was helping. She will be sadly missed by all those who have had contact with her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Agnes; and her brother, James Ingraham. She is survived by her husband, Paul; two loving daughters, Carol (Cole) and Dorie (Andy); three grandchildren: Clara, Leah, and Anna; brother, Michael (Mary); sister-in-law, Ruth; and her dear friend Cole Nelson, along with many extended family and friends.

    Dear Paul, Carolyn and Dorie, so sorry to learn of Pat’s passing. I just stumbled on this today. Had no idea, but since my husband’s death in 2019, my life has changed too. I will keep all of you in my prayers.
