Paul Edward Bahr of Mesa, AZ passed away June 7, 2011. He was born Sept. 5, 1914 to William Bahr and Anna Wirtz Bahr at their farm home near Miller, SD. He was fourth in a family of five brothers (Ralph, Melvin, Glen, Wayne). He married Lillian Klink on Dec. 26, 1935. They farmed in the Orient and Rickham, SD areas until they moved to AZ in 1962 where he worked in maintenance at Arizona State University until retiring in 1979. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, woodworking, gardening, traveling and card games. He and his wife of 57 years had 3 daughters, Pauline (Ralph) Backer, Arline (John) Byers, Janice (Vic) Bunning, along with 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great granddaughters. He is also survived by one brother, Wayne (Evelyn) Bahr, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his wife Lillian in 1992, three brothers, a son-in-law (Ralph), and two grandchildren. Paul was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mesa. Visitation will be held at 12:00 on Sunday June 12, 2011 at Mountain View Funeral Home in Mesa with services following at 1:00 with Pastor Nate Snider officiating.
