Paul L. Parent, 94, of Mesa, Arizona passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Monday, October 22nd, 2019. He was born August 19th, 1925 in Putnam CT, son of the late Arthur and Valida Parent. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Uncle. He was a very kind and loving man. He was a joy to be around; and was loved by so many.

Paul served in the Navy during WWII. After the Navy, he attended Georgia Tech and graduated with a degree in Engineering. Paul married Noella (Bessette) Parent in 1949. Paul worked at Sperry Rand/Honeywell for over 37 years. In 1961 he moved to Phoenix, Arizona, He retired at 62, and spent his time between Arizona and Vermont. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Julia (Spellman) Parent. Children- Karen Cushman (David) Joe Parent, Paul Timothy Parent (Sherry) Gail Parent (Daughter in law), David Parent, Mary-Ann Linkowski (Doug). Step-children, Gerry Dietrich (Suzanne), Glenn Dietrich (Andrea), Janine Mifsud (Ed), Marlene Kothe (David). Grandchildren – Heather, Courtney, Bryce, Stephanie, Mike, Shannon, Samantha and Kimberly. Step Grandchildren- Cole, Lauren, Austen, Jeremy, Matthew, Natalie and Ashleigh. Great grandchildren- Katie, Hannah and Alan. Paul was adored by his nieces & nephews. He was proceeded by his wife Noella Parent (55 years of Marriage) children Mark & Brian Parent. Services will be held October 28th at St. George’s Catholic Church, Apache Junction, Rosary at 9:30 am with Mass at 10:00 am, reception following service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, AZ. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, Mesa, Arizona.
