Paul Martin Crone passed away on June 26, 2026, at the age of 60 in Gilbert, Arizona.
Paul was born on February 14, 1966, in Austin, Texas to Robert and Clara Crone. When he was four years old, he moved to Mesa, Arizona with his parents and sisters. Although he spent most of his life in Arizona, he always considered himself a lifelong Texan and was a devoted Texas Longhorn fan.
Paul was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church and lived in a residence operated by RISE, Inc. He participated in Special Olympics, winning awards in bowling and basketball. He enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels cars and baseball caps. He loved horses, the Texas Longhorns and watching football on television.
Paul is survived by his brothers, Robert Crone, Jr. (Susan) of Cedar Creek, Texas and Phil Crone (Amy) of Raleigh, North Carolina; his sisters, Marcia Whisler (Al) of Gilbert, Arizona and Peggy Moore of Mesa, Arizona. He had many nieces and nephews, all of whom he lovingly referred to as “his kids.” He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Clara Crone and his nephew, Stephan Crone.
Paul will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of family and friends and the joy he found in the things he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026, 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 2, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 800 W. Ray Road, Chandler, AZ 85225.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Marcia Whisler or Peggy Moore to be distributed among Paul’s roommates and caregivers in appreciation of the compassionate care and friendship they shared with him.

Paul’s warm smile, gentle nature, and love for family and friends left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

I have such wonderful memories of staying with him in the summertime while his mom and dad worked. So much fun things we did,I think he must of been about 9 then. At his dad’s funeral, I can remember him telling his mom it’s ok now dad’s with God…so happy to know of his continued faith, he was a true example of what love really is …love to all of you Cheryl Nicholson
