Passed Away on June 21, 2018


Ramon H Lomeli, of Kearny, Arizona, passed away June 21, 2018 surrounded by his family loving and singing to him. He was born in Sonora, Arizona on September 23, 1932, son of Ramon and Francisca Lomeli. Ramon graduated from Ray District High School in 1952. He was the first President of the Ray Athletic Club (R Club). He worked at Ray Schools and was often recognized by many children as Santa Claus. His family knew him as Dad, Tata, and Grandpa Ramon. He was a loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his beautiful and loving wife, Lucila Lomeli; four daughters, Marylou, Gina, Marlene, and Frances; eight grandchildren, Christina, Bobby, Tony, Sara, Brittany, Nicole, Jake, and Tyler; seven great grandchildren, Tiari, Ashton, Elena, Santiago, Amaya, Adrian and Thomas.

A celebration of Ramon’s life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 11:00 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1244 S Power Rd, Mesa, AZ 85206. After the services, the funeral will be at the Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ, 85207.
