Ray Stephens passed away Wednesday afternoon November 28, 2012 at the age of 80. He was born in Proctor, TX February 5, 1932 and lived a full and courageous life achieving many accomplishments. Ray was an underground miner in San Manuel, AZ for 20 years. He moved to Missouri bought an 11 acre farm and logged timber and raised and sold stock. He then moved to Arizona and started his third career as a backhoe operator and established the business of “Stephens Trenching”. Ray retired in 2007.Ray was married to his wife for 58 years and loved his family. He is survived by his three children; Kenneth, Sabrina, and Alma and six great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation beginning at 11:00 am Saturday December 1, 2012 followed by the funeral service at 12:00 pm at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ.
