It is with great sadness that the Karaffa Family announces the passing of Ray Karaffa.  He passed on June 28, 2023 with his family by his side.  Ray was born March 7, 1947 in Uniontown Pa.  He graduated from South High School in Willoughby, Ohio.  Upon graduation he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served honorably for four years during the Vietnam War.  Upon discharge, he enrolled at The Ohio State University where he majored in Manpower and Industrial Relations. His career was multi-faceted, working for companies such as Lennox Industries, Garrett Pneumatic Systems, Motorola and Honeywell, Boeing and finishing as a business consultant for Cognizant in Canada. Ray was an avid Buckeye fan and made a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy, three children: Amy, Andy and David and daughter in law, Fernanda, along with eight grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date.  Ray, we will miss you and remember to SMILE!

    Ray was a kind and gentle man., a perfect match for his wonderful wife Kathie. I admired his deeep Catholic faith and was always jealous of his and Kathie’s practical skills in keeping a house in tact and adding and improving their lovely home..
