Rebecca Q. Gallego, 97, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, September 29, 2014, at her home in Mesa, Arizona. Rebecca was born January 3, 1917 in Sonora, Arizona to Julio and Leonor Quinones. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She will forever be remembered for her wisdom, generosity and sense of humor and especially for her devoted faith and daily rosary prayers. Her surviving Children are: Graciela Ramirez (Heriberto), Robert Gallego (Helen), and Gilbert Gallego. Grandchildren: Henry K. Villarreal (Pamela), Norene Villarreal (Art), Christina Villarreal-Junker (Nathan) and Herb R. Ramirez. Bobby Gallego (Julie), Brian Gallego (Jen) Denise Meyers (Nick) and 11 Great Grandchildren and our sister-cousin, Yvonne Navarette. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Santos V. Gallego, Newborn daughter, Amalia Gallego, her brothers: Alfonso, Julio and Roberto Quinones, sister: Angelina Q. Valdivia.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 as follows:

Viewing at 9:30 a.m., Rosary at 10:00 a.m., Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 1244 S. Power Rd, Mesa, AZ 85206.

Internment from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E. Main St. Mesa, AZ 85207. Reception Services from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to be held at Holy Cross Church Reception Hall.

Special thanks and appreciation to all the wonderful nurses and staff of Banner Hospice of the Valley.
