Richard (Dick) H. Cunningham was born in Moline, IL on May 16, 1932 and passed away on March 15, 2019 in Mesa, AZ. He spent most of his life in Moline
until he retired and moved with his wife Dorothy to Cedar Rapids, IA.  They later became “snowbirds” and then permanent residents in Mesa, AZ.

Dick was a US Army veteran who served during the Korean War. After his time in the army, he worked at a variety of jobs including policeman, insurance salesman, milkman, cosmetics salesman, and school janitor. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, playing cards and watching movies (especially John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies).

Dick was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Mildred and his sisters Shirley (Robbie) Wallarab-Robertson and Kay (Jerold) Farnam. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, to whom he was married 65 years, his children Sherry (Roger) Alberts, Scott (Linda) Cunningham, Dawn Cunningham, Kim (Bob) Roberts, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

    Fred and I were saddened to learn of the passing of Dick. The times we spoke with him he showed an enthusiasm for all that he did and how much he enjoyed his family. May you find comfort in memories of the days you had together.
