Richard Gregg Liddell passed away following a short illness on May 20, 2017 in Mesa, Arizona.  Gregg was born in High River, Alberta on August 30, 1949 to Thomas Richard (Dick) Liddell and Rhona  (Donaldson).  Gregg is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer (Cone), his father Dick and step-mother Shirley, brother Gary (Sharon) and sisters, Gail Matthews and Dianne Van Wetering (Theo).  Gregg was very proud to have served briefly in the Canadian Armed Forces as a naval officer.  Gregg loved animals, cooking, crossword puzzles and everything to do with the great outdoors, including kayaking, tennis, fishing, hiking and biking.  Gregg’s smile would light up a room and he’ll be missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery on Monday, June 19th at 2:00 p.m.  Donations can be made to East Valley Hospice (Donation link),1311 W.  Chandler Blvd #200, Chandler, AZ 85224.

    My heart is so sad too loss this really kick back happy go lucky guy . Was always amazed he could put up with me. God bless the love ones he had to leave behind.

    Gregg and I played many a tennis match – doubles -sometimes with and sometimes against one another.
    No matter, every time was a good exchange of friendly competition, along with lots of good-natured, jabbing comments, and strings of laughing banter all the way. I’ll miss those times. A peaceful eternity to you, Gregg.

    We are friends with Jennifer and did not know Gregg personally. But from what we understand, he was a genuinely fine person who left us way to soon and has left a legacy his family can be proud of.
