Passed Away on September 3, 2016


Richard N. “Nate” Boya, III, 59, of Mesa, AZ passed away September 3, 2016. He was born on July 9, 1957 in L’Anse, MI, the son of Joan R. Quill and Richard N. Boya, Jr. He graduated from Xavier High School in Appleton, WI (1975) and from Ripon College in Ripon, WI (1979). He excelled in athletics in both high school and college. Nate served as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps from 1979 to 1983, in Quantico, VA, throughout the Pacific Region, and ended his service at the Support Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, CA. Nate was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albina H. and Robert P. Quill of Mesa, AZ, Opal L. and Richard N. Boya, Sr. of Appleton, WI, and by his uncle, Donald W. Boya, also from Appleton, WI. Nate is survived by his parents, Joan R. Quill of Mesa, AZ, Richard N. Boya, Jr. of Russellville, TN, three brothers, John D. Boya of Russellville, TN, Thomas R. Quill of Los Angeles, CA, and Brian D. Boya of Russellville, TN, 3 nephews, 2 nieces, 2 grandnephews, and 3 grandnieces. A memorial service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (www.ccfa.org) or the Semper Fi Fund (www.semperfifund.org).
