Rita Armenia Spadafore

March 30, 1935 – September 21, 2026

Rita Armenia Spadafore passed away peacefully at the age of 91 in Gilbert, Arizona on September 21.  Born to Ralph Iannocro and Theresa (DePaolo) Iannocro on March 30, 1935 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.  Later, she and her brothers, Ralph and Bill, along with her parents moved to Detroit Michigan where she eventually met and married Sullivan “Sal” Spadafore.  Sal and Rita were married on February 6, 1954.  In June of 1978, Rita, her husband Sal, and their children Mark, Dave, and Lori moved from Warren Michigan to Scottsdale Arizona.

Rita devoted much of her life to caring for her family and working as an administrative assistant.  She will be remembered most for her love of family and friends.  Rita was an excellent cook and often expressed her love through the wonderful Italian meals she prepared for family celebrations and weekend get togethers.

Rita is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Sal.  Rita is survived by her children Mark (Shannon), Dave (Sue) and Lori, plus several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A private, family memorial service is planned.
